About the project
Alma-nac recently completed Corner house, a 300m2 family home located on a prominent site within the Hampstead Conservation area in London. The internal layout was designed to be as flexible as possible to meet the client’s extensive requirements for a varied set of spaces including home working, an acupuncture treatment room, sauna, cinema room, exercise space as well as a fully open plan ground floor to host large social gatherings. The lower ground floor can be sectioned off from the rest of the house with its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom so the clients family can stay for extended periods of time. A cleverly concealed home lift is also installed across three floors and offers the clients a degree of flexibility, ensuring they can continue to enjoy living in the house as they grow older.
